What I learned during the Foundations course:
Fair Use guidelines for copyrighted materials used in the classroom and on the internet
The T.E.A.C.H. Act and its guidelines for use of copyrighted material in an online course
Art, yes art

as it relates to Desktop Publishing, Digital Graphics, Web Pages, Animation and the Media.
(boy was I out of my element with the rule of thirds and color pallets, but I am more confident now)

NECC (National Educators Computer Convention) in Atlanta, GA with my co-workers

Lots of goodies from the convention hall, lost of pictures form around Atlanta (over 300 actually), lots of
new information about how to incorporate technology in the classroom using Google Sketch-Up, Web2.0,
Wiki's, Moodle, Blogs, TI-83 calculators, One-note, Office 2007 and much, much more.

Working on Desktop Publishing Course

Started this July 26, 2007. The first thing we did was create a logo. Here is mine. I thing of my self as a life long learner, which makes me (I hope) a better teacher and mentor to my peers. By the way, you can do this to at a great web site called the Offical Seal Generator

Creating Materials for MOODLE, WIKI and First Class teacher training

Algebra 1 course is developing nicely, Intro to Business is good to go, training for other educators in the
district is always growing and I am excited about sharing what can be done with Wiki's. New teachers
will learn how to set up their web pages and their email profiles in the First Class training

Surfin the internet and adding favorites to my delicious site site

I will continue to post the link that I use as part of my Tech Ap training and anything else I find that
relates to business and math. So check often to see what it now. Be sure and check the Digital Diva link to
my friend Kim's delicious site she has so great education links for all sujbects

Getting ready to teach Algeba 1 ( yes, I am excited because Algebra rocks!)

Algrebra can be fun believe it or not. That is my goal for this year, to bring new and exciting ways to learn algebra skills to the classroom. If you have ideas or something that you would like to see, please post to the discussion.
We will take a "ditial" and hands on approach this year and see what happens. Remember we are all life long learners
and this is just a new process for us to learn.

Summer ends when school starts August 27, 2007.
